Energiaallikas loob energiat (nt p\u00e4ike, tuul, fossiilk\u00fctused), energiakandja aga hoiab energiat ja v\u00f5imaldab seda transportida v\u00f5i kasutada. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Selle m\u00e4\u00e4ratluse p\u00f5hjal liigume edasi kahe peamise energiakandja juurde: vesinik ja bensiin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Bensiin: laialdaselt kasutusel, kuid ebaefektiivne ja suure heitkogusega<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Bensiin kvalifitseerub energiakandjaks, sest see ei esine looduses valmiskujul &#8211; see toodetakse toornaftast. Nafta tekib miljonite aastate jooksul orgaanilise aine (peamiselt planktoni ja vetikate) lagunemisel surve ja temperatuuri m\u00f5jul. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Rafineerimise k\u00e4igus kuumutatakse toornaftat, mille tulemusena erinevad s\u00fcsivesinikud aurustuvad vastavalt oma keemistemperatuuridele. Bensiinifraktsioon eraldub ligikaudu vahemikus 40-200 \u00b0C. L\u00f5pptarbija kvaliteedin\u00f5uete saavutamiseks kasutatakse t\u00e4iendavaid protsesse, nagu katal\u00fc\u00fctiline krakkimine, reformimine ja h\u00fcdrot\u00f6\u00f6tlus, mis parandavad bensiini oktaanarvu ja eemaldavad lisandeid.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Bensiin on k\u00f5ige levinum transpordik\u00fctus maailmas. Selle p\u00f5lemisel sisep\u00f5lemismootoris vabastatakse m\u00e4rkimisv\u00e4\u00e4rne kogus energiat, millest vaid 25-40% muundub kasulikuks mehaaniliseks t\u00f6\u00f6ks, \u00fclej\u00e4\u00e4nu kaob soojusena. Oluline miinus on see, et bensiini p\u00f5lemisel tekivad CO\u2082, CO, NOx ning tahked osakesed, mis m\u00f5jutavad nii kliimat kui \u00f5hukvaliteeti.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Kuigi bensiin on v\u00f5imaldanud kiiret arengut transpordi ja majanduse vallas, on tegemist fossiilk\u00fctusega, mille kasutamine ei ole pikaajaliselt j\u00e4tkusuutlik ei emissioonide ega kehva efektiivsuse t\u00f5ttu.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Hydrogen: A clean, versatile energy carrier \u2014 but challenging to store and transport<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Vesinik on levinuim element universumis ja juba laialdaselt kasutuses erinevates t\u00f6\u00f6stusharudes nagu v\u00e4etiste tootmine, raua redutseerimine ja natuke irooniliselt nafta rafineerimisel bensiini tootmisel, kus vesiniku kasutatakse h\u00fcdrot\u00f6\u00f6tlusel, mille eesm\u00e4rk on eemaldada toornaftast soovimatud elemendid nagu v\u00e4\u00e4vel, l\u00e4mmastik ja hapnik. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Oluline on m\u00e4rkida, et maal ei esine vesinik tavaliselt vabas kujul, kuna see reageerib kergesti teiste elementidega. See osa v\u00f5ib j\u00e4\u00e4da tulevikuperspektiivi, mitte faktina.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tulles tagasi hetkel saadava vesiniku kui energiakandja juurde t\u00e4psustame, et selles artiklis keskendume rohelisele vesinikule ehk vesinikule, mis on toodetud elektrol\u00fc\u00fcsi teel kasutades energiaks kas tuulegeneraatorite v\u00f5i p\u00e4ikesepaneelide poolt toodetud elektrit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Maksumus: Roheline vesiniku hind peab muutuma konkurentsiv\u00f5imeliks<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Rohelise vesiniku hind s\u00f5ltub mitmest tegurist nagu vajaliku tehnoloogia maksumus ja k\u00e4itlemis hind kui ka vajamineva elektri hinnast. 2025 aastal on rohelise vesiniku tootmishind Euroopas umbes 5-8 \u20ac\/kg, kuid tanklates v\u00f5ib hind ulatuda 10-15 \u20ac\/kg, sest lisanduvad kompressiooni-, logistika ja jaotuskulud. Et olla konkurentsiv\u00f5imeline bensiiniga, peaks rohevesiniku l\u00f5pphind langema v\u00e4hemalt poole v\u00f5rra.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Energiatihedus: k\u00f5rge massi\u00fchiku kohta, madal mahu\u00fchiku kohta<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Kuigi vesinikul on kolm korda k\u00f5rgem gravimeetriline energiatihedus, kui bensiinil, on selle mahuline energiatihedus v\u00e4ga madal, mis teeb hoiustamise keerukaks. See on \u00fcks olulisemaid p\u00f5hjuseid, miks vesiniku hind &#8220;tehase juurest tanklani&#8221; niiv\u00f5rd suureneb.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Kuidas vesinikku hoiustada<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Vesiniku salvestamiseks kasutatakse tehnoloogiaid, mis v\u00f5imaldavad seda tihendada, jahutada v\u00f5i keemiliselt siduda. K\u00f5ige levinumad meetodid vesiniku hoiustamiseks: <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Survestatud gaasina r\u00f5hkudel 350-700 bar, mis sobib nii transpordile kui statsionaarsetele s\u00fcsteemidele, puuduseks on kompresseerimise suur energiakulu ja ohutus.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Vesiniku veeldamine -253 \u00b0C juures, mis annab suurema mahulise energiatiheduse ja on kasulik pikamaatranspordis. Samas on ka veeldamine v\u00e4ga energiakulukas ning p\u00f5hjustab aurustumiskaotusi ehk boil-off\u2019i<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Salvestust materjalides, n\u00e4iteks metallh\u00fcdriide ja poorseid materjale, kuhu vesinik seotakse madalal r\u00f5hul ja turvaliselt. Need lahendused v\u00f5ivad olla t\u00f5husad, kuid metallh\u00fcdriidid on rasked ja aeglased ning uued materjalid, nagu poorsed s\u00fcsinikud, on veel arendamisj\u00e4rgus<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Where hydrogen is used today \u2014 and where it is heading<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>In 2025, hydrogen is still used mainly in industry, especially for ammonia production and oil refining. Its role is growing rapidly in the steel sector, where hydrogen enables low-carbon iron production and reduces CO\u2082 emissions. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In transport, hydrogen is moving from pilot projects into wider use: fuel-cell buses, trucks, trains and early marine applications show strong potential, especially in cases where long range and fast refuelling are needed and battery solutions are not sufficient.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the energy sector, hydrogen supports renewable energy storage and backup systems. Fuel-cell generators offer a quiet, emission-free alternative to gasoline-powered generators.
